The Society for Learning Unlimited (SLU)

The Society for Learning Unlimited (SLU) is a non-profit organization at Beloit College.  It offers many opportunities to explore cultural and intellectual interests in a stimulating environment.  Learning new skills encourages personal growth, enhances emotional and mental health, and provides a more meaningful life.

Requirements for SLU Membership

  1. Enthusiasm for lifelong learning

  2. 50 years of age or older

  3. $5.00 per semester for membership dues

KICKOFF Wednesday, FEBRUARY 5, 1PM - Ken Regez a long time film collector and archivist will present a collection of sound and silent films.  He is having a film shown on PBS in February.  Free, and open to the public.


Friday, Feb 7, 1PM - 3PM - Ellen Joyce, Assoc Prof. & Beatric McKenzie, Prof. of History, Beloit College will present a program on "Immigrants who came to Beloit in Search of factory Work.
