Community Groups

The Society of Learning Unlimited (SLU) is a nonprofit organization of Beloit College 55 and older, that meets for part of its programing here at First Congregational Church. It offers many opportunities to explore cultural and intellectual interests. SLU catalogs and dates of up-coming events are available at the church.

Al-Anon meetings are held at First Congregational Church at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. Meetings are for friends and family of problem drinkers. They learn that they are not alone in the problems they face, and that they have choices.

A.A. meetings are also held here on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. Alcoholics Anonymous is a voluntary, worldwide fellowship of men and women from all walks of life who meet together to attain and maintain sobriety. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership.
